The inspiration for Snail Mail came from the woodland at the end of my garden. Sitting beneath an ancient oak in meditation, I became aware of the shy woodland creatures emerging one by one—curious about my presence. It felt as though each of them carried a message of their own, and the wizard became the one to deliver their stories to the world. This hidden world is what I paint, and it’s the reason my studio is called Hidden Realms.
